Crockpot Barley Recipe for Breakfast

The Breakfast most important meal of the day, and who am I to say? Eating a satisfying and healthy meal definitely seems like a great way to start the day, especially if it tastes great. These breakfast recipes definitely qualify. 



Serves in 3 person.

1.5 cup pearl barley
4.5 cups water
1.5 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg ½ teaspoon cloves
½ cup low fat milk Sliced fruit of your choice
Combine barley, applesauce, spices, and water in crockpot.

Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours; you can turn it on right before bed, and it’ll be ready when you wake up. Serve with a splash of low milk and sliced fruit of your choice.
